Let's visit the Hoyt Arboretum

Looks like Wednesday will be cloudy with occasional showers, so let's see if we can visit the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland's Washington Park. Let's meet at my studio again--just in case the weather is not cooperating. We'll meet at 10 a.m. See last week's entry  to find out what to bring for outing. Of course, if it's raining, we'll head inside.

Hoyt Arboretum,  a 187-acre living museum of trees and plants from all over the world, is located just 2 miles west of downtown Portland.  Visitor Center is located in the heart of the  Arboretum at 4000 SW Fairview Blvd, two miles west of downtown Portland.

It is staffed by volunteers who can interpret the tree collections and help people plan their visit.  A small gift shop and research library are open to the public during Visitor Center hours.  Brochures, maps and other publications are available outside the Visitor Center at all times.
